A pupil from South Lanarkshire College has been celebrating after scooping 3 prestigious awards that should stand him in good stead going forward. Alexander Berry claimed the awards for his ability and aptitude in the roofing sector.
The first of his awards was the GMG Trophy For Excellence in Roof Slating, Tiling & Cement Work – 1st Year. The second was a gold medal in the Skillbuild Young Roof Slater & Tiler of the Year Competition category. His final award was the title of Worldskills UK Young Roof Slater & Tiler Competition Winner. Alexander who works for Paul Miller Roofing will now be acclaimed as one of the best apprentices in the country.
